Let’s Take this back to where it all began…

The mountains have always been my happy place, and writing has always been my craft.

I grew up in Montana, until my parents moved me to the middle of a cornfield in Indiana in middle school - which is how I ended up attending Purdue for journalism.

But in my 3rd year of college, I was already burnt out on it. I'd worked my way up the ranks of the student newspaper to Opinions Editor, but I'd sacrificed my grades because of it. I wasn't happy, I couldn't focus, and I was failing.

Then when both of my grandpas committed suicide within a month of each other, I was sort of shaken awake. I realized:

What the heck are we doing with our lives if we're not pursuing joy?

So I threw all my stuff in a U-haul, grabbed my dog Tarkin and started driving westward.

The first house I found on Craigslist was in Breckenridge, CO, so that's where I landed for 5 years - climbing, skiing and hiking mountains while serving tables on the side.

Then I met my partner Brett, and we decided to do the whole quit-your-job-and-travel-Asia-for-six-months thing. We had this grand idea that we were going to become rock climbing influencers and ride the wave of our glorious Insta-fame around the world for the rest of our lives, so we started a travel blog.

Spoiler alert: the Instagram fame never happened, and we actually decided to quit the blog about halfway through our travels because it was taking away from our trip.

But it did reignite my passion for writing and sparked my interest in social media...

So when we returned to Colorado and I saw a need from local business owners for social media support, I decided to pursue it.

The past year and a half has been a crazy/wonderful/terrifying/satisfying evolution. I've changed our name and shifted our focus (multiples times). Our branding has gone from trying and boring to spunky and colorful. And oh boy, have I ridden that roller coaster of emotions every entrepreneur goes through but none of us could be expected to be prepared for. It's been a wild ride - and I'm so glad to be on this path.

Today, I think Feel Good Social is finally forming into the business it's always wanted to be.

I help hard-working, down-to-earth entrepreneurs market their business on social media in a way that feels good to them.

We believe social media is an amazing tool meant for cultivating genuine connections and spreading your brand's message, not for wasting your time or making you feel inadequate.

We focus on authentic storytelling that reflects your values, drives your purpose and builds your loyal following of genuine supporters.

And the best part about feel good social media marketing is that it actually works.
