After reading this blog post, you’re going to feel empowered to create the prettiest, on-brand grid while telling your authentic story at the same time.
Are you ready? Let’s do this thing. 👇
1. Stick to your color palette
The easiest way to create an aesthetically pleasing Instagram grid is to stick to your brand’s color palette! If you haven’t created one yet, don’t worry.
Choose 3-5 colors that you feel best represent your brand’s overall vibe and try to incorporate some version of those colors into all of your visuals. By doing this consistently, your grid will look and feel cohesive over time.
Simply repeat the same colors throughout all of your graphics, and edit all of your photos in a similar way, so the colors work together.
An easy way to do this is through 1-click Lightroom presets - this way, all of your photos will have the same “filter” on them so they give off a similar vibe!
Pro Tip: USE SIMILAR COLOR TONES
For example, this Instagram grid to the right has a lot of muted colors such as grays, blacks, and browns. The reason the aesthetic of this example grid feels so cohesive is because each photo has at least one of those muted colors. By using colors that relate to each other in terms of overall tone, the overall feel of your grid will feel very aesthetically pleasing and on-brand.

2. create similar graphic templates
The key to creating cohesive, on-brand graphics is to use templates! Canva has pre-made templates for you that you can edit to fit your brand’s vibe or if you’re feeling extra creative you can make your own.
Use repeating elements in your templates
If you’re creating your own graphic templates from scratch, make sure they repeat the same colors, fonts, and elements throughout - this will ensure that all of your graphics look on-brand and recognizable to your audience. You can use these templates over and over again in your overall content strategy to save time and give your brand vibe a little boost!

While creating a grid that is aesthetically pleasing and on-brand, you want to make sure that you use a mixture of photos and graphics. This will ensure that your grid is visually interesting and your audience won’t get bored when they visit your page.
draw your audience in
In order for your audience to be captivated by your content, your posts have to be interesting - and this all starts with your visuals! Instagram is a visual platform after all!
By having a variety of different posts and graphics (while staying true to your brand’s vibe), your audience will be more captivated by your content and ultimately more likely to click on a specific post, read your caption and take the next action you want them to take.
Now you know how to have a pretty, aesthetically pleasing Instagram grid targeted for your ideal audience or client! By sticking to your color palette, creating similar graphic templates (and using them over and over again), and posting a variety of photos and graphics, you’re on your way to creating the prettiest grid out there.
