1. why choosing a color palette is important for the ‘gram
Choosing and sticking to your brand colors is important on social media for many reasons. Your brand colors are fundamental to stick to when creating social media content because your brand will feel more cohesive, recognizable, and trustworthy.
your brand colors will attract your ideal audience
Ultimately the goal of your brand colors is to make your ideal audience feel something - and they'll relate that feeling to your brand. This will make your brand immediately recognizable to your ideal audience and they’ll be more likely to gravitate towards you, instead of that joe-shmoe brand over there. 😉

2. how to choose the perfect on-brand color palette
When choosing your brand’s colors, you always want to start by asking yourself the question:
How do I want my ideal customers to feel about my brand and what colors will make them feel that way?
You want to get really clear on the feeling you want to invoke in your ideal audience so that when you get down to the nitty-gritty of choosing your colors, you’ll have that feeling in the back of your mind.
get specific!
After you decide on a feeling you want to invoke in your audience, ask yourself:
How can I best describe my brand's "style" and what colors will attract my ideal audience?
By asking yourself these questions and getting specific on why you’re choosing the colors that will be in your color palette, it will be a lot easier to attract your ideal audience.

3. Go on a pinning spree!
Pinterest is one of my favorite tools when it comes to DIY branding, but especially when it comes to finding inspiration for your brand colors! Go to Pinterest and search for "[insert descriptive style or emotion words here] color palette" and peruse what pops up. Choose 3-5 colors that fit your brand's style, that will attract your ideal audience and that will make your audience feel the way you want them to feel about your brand.
create consistent content!
After you’re finished with your Pinterest adventure, start incorporating at least one of these colors into your content consistently. This will help you create cohesive content that feels on-brand, grow a following of people who feel aligned with your brand, and build the trust + recognition of your audience.
