People are always asking me: “How can I get better at gathering content for my social posts? I never have anything that’s post-worthy…”

Well, my friend, I’m here to let you in on a little secret… you already have plenty of photos that are post-worthy. You might just need to reframe your mindset about what you consider “post-worthy” because each photo has a story, and your stories deserve to be told!

In this blog post, I’ll give you my top three tips so you never have to worry about running out of photos to post on the ‘Gram again.

1. Make a list of visual pillars

Here's my favorite trick to make sure your Insta-grid always feels consistent, on-brand and doesn't confuse your followers: think about the people, places, + things that represent your brand - and choose 5-7 to repeatedly share to social media. This could be photos of you, your family, or your clients or it could even be photos of your WFH space, your favorite coffee shop, or your laptop.

Don’t forget to show your face!

Hate to break it to you, but people love seeing your beautiful face! People relate to other people, which is why personable brands are successful at connecting with their people (and you can do it too, my friend). 😉

2. Create a visuals bank

Make a folder on Google Drive or Drop Box to store all of your social media-worthy photos - and fill that bad boy up! Start by going through all of the photos you already have and gather those that fall into your visual pillars and feel worthy of sharing.

Edit them in a similar way (I love using Lightroom Presets for this!) and add them to your Visuals Bank, so when you're creating your posts, you have tons of content to choose from.

3. Train yourself to gather visuals

Throughout your days, try to be aware of your visual pillars and quickly capture any Gram-worthy moments that pop up to share later! Once a week, go through your phone:
+ delete the bad/blurry ones (or ones you just don’t like - that’s okay too 😜)
+ edit the good shots and drop them into your visual bank

Then, when you're batch-planning your month of content, you'll always have fresh photos to share. It’s that easy. It’s really all about trying to shift your mindset toward treating every day like a content creation opportunity. Start simple and don’t overthink it!

[Disclaimer: Can you only share a photo to social media once? No! But this will help you have plenty to choose from!]

Alright friend, you should now feel SO confident in yourself that you’ll never have to ask yourself the dreaded question: “what the heck should I post today?” again!
